“The Rise of Donald Trump and the Fall of American Politics”
The emergence of Donald Trump as a candidate for the presidency was a shock to many Americans. How did it happen? What are its implications for politics after the 2016 election? Should we be optimistic or not? John Campbell, Class of 1925 Professor at Dartmouth and Professor of Political Economy at the Copenhagen Business School, argues that the Trump phenomenon was only the tip of a political, economic and cultural iceberg long developing in America.
Please note that this month’s reception and presentation will each begin 15 minutes earlier than usual.
