Time: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Location: Triangle House
4 North Park St
Hanover, NH 03755
Built in 1928 as the Whitaker Apartments, 4 North Park Street is now Triangle House, the first of the “live and learn” houses. The original townhouse design by Jens Frederick Larson (architect for Baker Library, Memorial Stadium, and many local buildings) has been thoroughly reconfigured and renovated by Smith & Vansant Architects of Norwich VT.
Currently in the push list phase of construction, Triangle House will be a colorful and cozy home for undergrad LGBTA students and a faculty advisor. The Office of Residential Life has purchased art from the 2014 Art majors as part of the furnishing of the house. We hope that some will be furnishings will be in place for the tour, before the residents begin to move in.
Please join the Dartmouth Alumni in Design & Architecture, and the Dartmouth Club of the Upper Valley for a joint tour of the house at 5 PM on Thursday Aug. 14. Triangle House is near the intersection of East Wheelock Street & North Park. It’s the 3rd building north of the lights, on the west side of the street. Parking is very limited at the house.
Meet at the west side of the house. Architects John Vansant ’81 and Sue Reed ’81 will conduct the tour.
